Virgin Hotels Chicago has unveiled the Spa at Virgin Hotels Chicago, collaboratively designed by Madrid-based Rockwell Group Europe and Virgin’s in-house team.
The spa’s five treatment rooms include a couple’s room, a unisex hammam, and a central manicure bar. Treatments focus on anti-aging, massages, body treatments, and men’s grooming.
The hotel and spa are situated in the Old Dearborn Bank building, which was constructed in 1928 and redesigned by Rockwell Group Europe. The lobby’s stone staircase, original to the building, leads guests to the spa, which was installed where the bank president’s office once was. The waiting room features an original oak fireplace cased in marble.
The company plans on making the spa a brand standard for all Virgin Hotels, however each spa will feature a different design and amenities based on its location.
Virgin Nashville and Virgin New York, slated to open next year, will each include their own spa.
