ROOST Apartment Hotel has expanded into Texas with the opening of ROOST Rainey, the brand’s eighth property.
Developed by Method Co.—the real estate management, development, and design firm behind the ROOST concept—the 59‑unit aparthotel occupies four floors within the new 48-story Paseo mixed‑use tower in the heart of Austin’s Rainey Street Historic District.
Apartment-style living at ROOST Rainey
ROOST Rainey features a range of fully furnished studios and one‑ to four‑bedroom units outfitted with full kitchens and a blend of custom pieces and curated vintage furnishings. Velvet and leather upholstery, handmade tiles, and natural finishes—including white oak cabinetry and matte gray countertops—evoke a warm, refined ambiance.
A statement pendant light anchors each kitchen island, while vintage pieces sourced from Austin‑based Four Hands highlight regional craftsmanship and the project’s sustainable focus. The development is targeting both LEED Silver certification and an Austin Energy Green Building 3‑Star rating.

Interiors rooted in Austin’s heritage
Designed collaboratively by LV Collective, Method Co., and ZZ Driggs, ROOST Rainey reflects the history and cultural layers of its surroundings. Warm tones, organic materials, and textured finishes shape the interiors, while custom artwork by Alex Bodishbaugh adds a localized sensibility. No two units are furnished exactly alike, resulting in a collected, residential feel.
“Our goal with every ROOST location is to create a beautifully designed, highly livable space that feels rooted in its surroundings,” says Randall Cook, cofounder and CEO of Method Co. “With Paseo and Rainey Street as our backdrop, we’re excited to welcome travelers to a hotel experience that embodies the spirit and energy of Austin.”
Access to Paseo’s amenities
As part of the Paseo community, guests of ROOST Rainey have access to a suite of amenities. These include a 12th‑floor pool deck overlooking Lady Bird Lake, complete with cabanas and bar service; a fitness center featuring reformer Pilates and yoga studios; cold plunges and saunas; and two full floors of coworking space with private pods and conference rooms. A 24‑hour concierge supports both short‑term and extended‑stay guests as well.
Paseo also introduces new dining concepts that ROOST guests can enjoy. On the ground floor, Daydreamer Coffee offers a warm, light‑filled café designed for creative work and casual gathering. Amaya, located on the 12th floor, serves modern Mediterranean‑inspired cuisine in a relaxed rooftop setting.
