The Eddy Taproom and & Hotel has opened against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado. The new concept from CoralTree Hospitality reimagines the former Golden Fire Brick Company building by channeling the locale’s mining history and outdoorsy spirit.
“The branding and design for the Eddy were developed hand-in-in with every member of the team involved and embracing the story,” says Shirli Sensenbrenner, senior vice president of design and development services for CoralTree Hospitality. “When designers truly understand the brand of the hotel, what they create is very authentic and genuine. What the Eddy offers is a genuine representation of the area’s outdoor spirit, history, and casual Colorado sophistication.”
The 49-room boutique hotel spans four stories of the 19th-century structure, instilling a sense of history and place with its original brickwork exterior. A blend of historical and industrial sensibilities permeate the resort-like atmosphere, along with a medley of contemporary and vintage furnishings that evoke authenticity. The taproom, Truck Eddy, accommodates guests inside and upon its alfresco lawn, which is populated with picnic tables. A fitness center, dual rooftop patios, and flexible meeting and event spaces round out the onsite amenities.
