Debuting this summer in the heart of Tucson, the Tuxon is the first property in Marriott’s Design Hotels portfolio to land in Arizona. The modern boutique hotel strikes a balance between the bustling downtown atmosphere and the natural beauty of the surrounding desert landscape.
Located near Sentinel Peak, known as “the birthplace of Tucson,” the Tuxon will serve as a home base and social hub for travelers seeking rustic adventure or local culture. The laidback pooldeck will function as a key social venue for guests, equipped with an accompanying cocktail concept. The recently constructed Welcome Building will feature an indoor-outdoor bar, locally inspired F&B options, craft workshops, and a range of programming.
Each of the 112 guestrooms and suites will be outfitted with custom furnishings that recall the region’s Mexican and Native American roots. Rustic gray wood, saddle leather, and potted succulents infuse a local flair in tandem with colorful textiles and contemporary artwork influenced by Arizona cowboy culture.
