Alinea Group, the hospitality brand helmed by chef Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas, has announced the opening of its first eatery outside of Chicago with the Aviary NYC, slated to open this summer. Housed on the 35th floor of the Mandarin Oriental, New York, the 90-seat restaurant will boast sweeping city views and designs reminiscent of the concept’s Chicago location.
Tihany Design will spearhead the design of the elevated and interactive dining room, outfitted with an open kitchen. The Office, the adjacent speakeasy, will offer more intimate accommodations with 40 seats.
