The Viewline Resort Snowmass has reopened in Snowmass, Colorado following a $40 million renovation led by The Gettys Group. Upgrades balance the resort’s distinctive midcentury ethos with an ageless alpine flair.
“Design details evoke a modern interpretation of the 1960s ethos,” says Ji Hyun Kim, director of Gettys Interiors. “The design incorporates soothing, timeless textures reflective of nature, while nostalgic-yet-subtle pattern on patterns directly reflect the individuality and spirit of a different era and a sense of belonging.”
The beauty of cross-country ski tracks is rendered across onsite carpeting in homage to the landscapes that serve as the muse for the property’s design. Expansive sightlines are framed throughout the resort to permeate a sense of discovery.
The launch of the Lupine Spa promotes wellness beyond its fitness center. The new Ayurvedic retreat comprises six treatment rooms, a relaxation area, and oversized steam rooms. A natural materiality characterizes the space, with a reception counter made of locally sourced granite boulder accented by a steel base serving as its main focal point.
A trio of new F&B concepts have also arrived onsite. Stark’s Alpine Grill serves as the signature restaurant, while a new lobby bar, featuring an attached three-levels outdoor deck, serves as a more casual extension of the eatery. First Chair will round out the après ski options, functioning as Snowmass’ resident coffee shop.
The 254-room retreat is also equipped with 24,000 square feet of event space, a heated mountainside pool, and a sundeck and terrace.
