Waldorf Astoria is set to launch its third Mexican property, the Waldorf Astoria San Miguel de Allende, in early 2025. Set within the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the palatial new build, designed by Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, will rub shoulders with vibrantly colored Spanish Colonial structures and include a total of 120 guestrooms and 24 branded residences.
“As global interest in luxury travel continues to rise, we are perfectly positioned at the forefront of the trend by expanding our offerings to welcome the discerning traveler in new and highly desirable destinations across the Caribbean and Latin America,” says Juan Corvinos, Hilton’s senior vice president of development, architecture, and construction for the Caribbean and Latin America. “We are excited about the growth of our portfolio in the region and introducing our distinct brands in landmark locations, such as San Miguel de Allende. The city’s timeless surroundings and recognition as a luxury vacation spot make it a natural fit for the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand.”
Wellness-focused amenities will include a fitness center, yoga and meditation areas, and a lavish restorative spa. An onsite art gallery and a store offering the work of local artisans will instill an artful sense of place, while a pool and relaxation space will crown the hotel’s rooftop.
