Hilton has opened the doors to Waldorf Astoria Xiamen, marking the company’s fourth Waldorf Astoria property in Greater China and its sixth in the Asia Pacific market. Home to 245 guestrooms and suites, the new property was crafted by international architecture firm Aedas to reflect the brand’s commitment to functional design and a classic sense of grandeur. Inside, AB Concept spearheaded the design of the hotel’s public spaces, while D’Lab oversaw the guestroom interiors.
In honor of the southeastern port city’s rich history, Waldorf Astoria Xiamen evokes a Neoclassical flair as it reinterprets contemporary European architectural styles. A grand garden mansion serves as a haven of serenity, anchored by a modern and palatial trellis structure apt for accommodating receptions. Rich emerald blue tones complement the surrounding botanical life, while circular-shaped details echo motifs found throughout the hotel’s design.

Designed by Strickland, the onsite F&B lineup includes sophisticated all-day eatery Brasserie ONE, classic Fujian restaurant HOKKLO, and tea concept Peacock Alley, which features Art Deco-style interiors and a lush outdoor garden terrace. Bar and lounge 1387 immerses visitors in a refined salon reminiscent of a speakeasy. Rounding out the hotel’s amenities, a nature-inspired spa boasts an elevated design with a private outdoor terrace, deluxe treatment suites, 24-hour fitness center, and an outdoor swimming pool.
Wrapped with floor-to-ceiling windows, accommodations include dual configurations. One layout is defined by a lush palette of aqua blue that channels Xiamen’s coastal landscape, while the other design features a warmer, richer palette of earth tones that pay homage to local tea culture.
