The group that operates Navy Pier has selected James Corner Field Operations to revamp the pier’s public spaces, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Plans call for more nightlife and entertainment venues, restaurants, water features, shaded pavilions, indoor gardens, and better lighting. Officials also have discussed the possibility of adding a boutique hotel and upscale retail.
