JW Marriott will make its debut in the Caribbean in 2014 with a 131-key hotel in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Occupying the first seven floors of a 25-story mixed-use tower, the hotel calls for a restaurant, lobby bar, lounge, pool snack bar, a fitness center, pool, and 6,300 square feet of meeting and event space. Mexican architecture firm Gomez Vazquez Aldana Asociados will handle the design.
