The Rocco Forte Collection is introducing its brand to the Middle East when a new hotel opens next year in Abu Dhabi. Architectural firm WS Atkins and Partners is designing the 12-floor curved glass structure. Under the guidance of Olga Polizzi, director of design for the Rocco Forte Collection, Dubai-based KCA International will create interiors that reflect the hotel’s location through local artwork and Middle Eastern accents in accessories and fabrics.
Spacious guestrooms will be decorated in shades of green, yellow, and terracotta and feature large leather panels behind the headboards, curved modern sofas, and workstations with comfortable leather chairs. The bathrooms come equipped with walk-in showers, large bathtubs, marble vanity units, and separate glazed areas for the toilet and bidet. Two luxurious presidential suites will comprise two balconies, a large bedroom, dressing room with walk-in wardrobes, separate dining room, lounge, kitchen, study, bar area, bathroom, and separate guest cloakroom.
F&B venues include a modern Chinese/Japanese restaurant, à la carte Italian restaurant, tea and coffee lounge, and Brazilian poolside bar and restaurant. In addition, the Sky Bar will be suspended on the fifth floor of a 10-story atrium boasting city and coastline views below. Meanwhile, an expansive spa will encompass a plunge pool, gym, yoga and Pilates studio, indoor heated swimming pools, sauna, cold plunge pools, and hammams. A large outdoor swimming pool, children’s pool, and expansive meeting space are also on tap for the hotel.
