Sealy Global Hospitality has opened its first production facility in China. The new 100,000-square-foot factory outside of Shanghai addresses the country’s expanding contract hospitality and consumer markets. On the contract side, the plant will manufacture bedding for 5-Star hotels in mainland China.
The company’s next step is to open a research and development center in Shanghai in early 2011, enabling Sealy China to develop new products specifically for Chinese consumers and better serve dealers and consumers in the region.
