Online custom frame provider Framebridge has made its brick-and-mortar debut in the Washington DC metro area, launching two stores both of which are crafted by locally based firm Grizform Design Architects.
Located on 14th Street in DC and in Bethesda, Maryland, both stores feature a thoughtfully curated material palette to reflect the brand. Custom hardwood fixtures are installed alongside unlacquered brass details, naturally toned leather, rich velvet, and subtle odes to midcentury interiors.
Colorways ranging from sage and vintage red punctuate the stores for a dash of whimsy. Unique to the 14th Street location is the Framebridge Story Booth, which pays homage to recording booths of the 1960s with an exterior composed of vertical struts and an interior that comprises floor-to-ceiling yellow velvet and vintage brass accents.
