Hilton is on track to open more luxury properties in 2019 than any previous year of its century-long history, according to Chris Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, with 11 properties expected to open this year. A pipeline of more than 30-plus properties will be rolled out through 2025.
On the docket are three outposts under the Waldorf Astoria banner, including the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, and Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi.
Hilton’s new luxury brand, LXR, will also expand its footprint with the addition of the Biltmore, Mayfair in London and the Zemi Beach House Resort & Spa in Anguilla. Finally, Conrad will welcome the Conrad Hangzhou, Conrad Hangzhou Tonglu, Conrad New York Midtown, Conrad Shenyang, Conrad Tianjin alongside the recently opened Conrad Washington, DC.
