Kyiv-based HVYLYA Design has brought GxBar, a Ukrainian beauty salon, to life in Barcelona. The space merges the charm of the Spanish city with the brand’s signature identity.
HVYLYA Design’s interior concept draws on the sandy tones of Barcelona’s historic façades and vibrant Mediterranean colors, pairing soft pink hues with bold blue accents and metallic finishes for a contemporary yet welcoming atmosphere.
The salon’s layout balances openness with privacy. The street-facing front is dynamic and engaging, featuring a reception desk, manicure and makeup stations, and a hairstyling zone. Partially covered display windows ensure discretion while creating visual intrigue for passersby.
Toward the back, private spaces offer pedicure services, facial treatments, and a soundproof skincare room rendered in a subdued palette with tactile surfaces.
Warm, sandy-toned decorative plaster wraps the walls and ceilings in the reception and skincare areas, complemented by deep blue accents. Each zone is punctuated by distinct design elements—bold blue chairs, wavy-framed mirrors, metallic curtains, and pink backlit shelving—adding a touch of playfulness to the serene, modern aesthetic.
