Wyndham Hotel Group unveiled LEED certifiable construction prototypes for its two largest brands, Days Inn and Super 8, during the 37th annual NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference in New York.
Over the past two years, the company developed the prototypes in an effort to refine its offerings across its six brands.
“This is one of the strongest development environments that we’ve seen in the U.S. in the last decade and we want to be sure that all of our brands are well-positioned and that we’re making it easy for prospective developers to do business with us,” says Geoff Ballotti, president and CEO at Wyndham Hotel Group.
Emphasizing style, performance, and efficiency, the models are complemented by four updated LEED certifiable prototypes of the Baymont Inn & Suites, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, and Wingate by Wyndham brands.
The updated prototypes were with flexibility for base level or LEED Silver certification, and provide owners and developers with architectural designs, documentation, and FF&E packages.

To be used for conversion and renovation opportunities, the company also released updated design guidelines for its domestic hotels. The guidelines apply to virtually all of its brands and include updated schemes for guestrooms and public spaces. Most feature key brand defining elements to ensure a consistent look is maintained within a portfolio.
