Judy Smilow of Smilow Furniture has revived the Rush Daybed, originally designed by her father, designer Mel Smilow, in the 1950s. The piece’s solid wood frame accents a natural or black handwoven rush seat, leather cushion, and headrest to achieve a classic midcentury modern look. The daybed is available in natural finishes of walnut or ash.
