At a glance: Land once reserved for mining tin is now home to Tri Vananda, a 237-acre multigenerational holistic wellness community dotted with botanical gardens, lakes, and sand dunes. That organic typography is what influenced the community house, Tri Vananda’s hub for guests staying in the holiday villas and residences, says AvroKO partner William Harris. A horseshoe-shaped bar enveloped in carved wood, a brass-bronze-ceramic chandelier that takes cues from Thai floral garlands, and an oversized screen filled with ceramic beads made with soil from the site all command attention. Tri Vananda, says Harris, is meant for like-minded people to “heal their body and soul while embracing nature and forging a path to happier living. It is a place where knowledge and technique meet humanism.”
