What we’re looking forward to: Architect Marcello Piacentini completed the Bank of Italy headquarters on Rome’s Piazza del Parlamento in 1914. Now, this icon of the Campo Marzio district has been revived as the 60-room Corinthia Rome. Original marble paneling, frescoes, and carved wood remain intact, but these features are invigorated by a Roman bath-inspired spa in the bank’s former vault, an F&B program curated by chef Carlo Cracco, and signature suites with expansive terraces.
