2015 IIDA/HD Product Design Competition Winners

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA), in partnership with Hospitality Design magazine, announced the winners of the 19th Annual IIDA/HD Product Design Competition yesterday. Fossil by Stone Source took home the Best of Competition award and also won in the hard surface flooring category.

The 2015 winners, representing the best of hospitality design through their aesthetics and innovation, are:

The 2015 judging panel included Fabio Grego, AIA, LEED Associate, Hyatt International, Chicago; Scott Hierlinger, IIDA, LEED AP, Nelson, Minneapolis; Carlos Posada, IIDA, LEED AP, Gensler, Los Angeles; and Meg Prendergast, The Gettys Group, Chicago.

Judges selected the winners based on innovation, technical advancements, cost effectiveness, environmental responsibility, aesthetics, both client and user benefits, and need and usage in the hospitality industry. Awards in each category are not mandatory.
