21c Museum Hotels to Break Ground in Bentonville, Arkansas

Published: June 9, 2010

21c Museum Hotels is investing with the Walton family and Bentonville Revitalization, Inc. to open an art-themed property in Bentonville, Arkansas, near Wal-Mart’s headquarters. Like its original location in Louisville, the hotel will be driven by art, presenting curated rotating exhibitions, dynamic installations, and live art events.

Architect Deborah Berke & Partners, which designed the 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville, will collaborate with Polk Stanley Wilcox architects and co-developer Poe Companies on the Bentonville location. Amenities will include a spa, fitness center, 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and a restaurant that supports sustainable agriculture. Additionally, the hotel will be designed and built using green practices and materials.
