Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden to Arrive in Austin in 2018

Published: April 7, 2017

Construction has commenced on Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden in Austin. The 15,000-square-foot venue will accommodate up to 2,000 guests and is slated for debut in time for the annual South by Southwest Festival in 2018.

Locally based firms Maker Architects, Lianne Steckel Interior Design, and In Good Taste Design have each contributed to crafting the project, which will be outfitted with a 101-tap draft system for 207 taps—the largest in Texas. A custom, walk-in beer cellar will house specialty products, while a full meat processing facility and a large smokehouse with custom grills and smokers will also be installed on the ground floor along with a beer bar. The basement will be home to a vegetable fermentation and pickling room as well as a 400-person event space to be converted into a bar and restaurant in the future.

The structure’s second story will be used as offices, and the covered outside deck will serve as additional event space for up to 300 guests.
