Blind Barber Arrives in Chicago

Barbershop and restaurant concept Blind Barber has expanded to Chicago’s West Loop. Locally based interior design firm 555 International channeled the brand’s signature sense of leisure and camaraderie while crafting a unique, minimalist design all of its own.

A vintage, retro vibe is evoked through a clean, masculine palette of amber, blue, and white. The design departs from Blind Barber’s traditional 1920s-style lounge and embraces an aesthetic reminiscent of a playful, recreational basement room. Knotty pine walls complement burnt orange leather sofas in the bar area to establish a living room-like atmosphere, while glass block windows are installed throughout in homage to the architectural heritage of the Fulton Market. Vintage lighting and old world finishes round out the interiors.
