Located in the UK’s Rutland countryside, luxury lifestyle members club Woolfox tapped B3 Designers to transform the former Woolfox Golf & Country Club into its latest upscale iteration.
The concept accentuates the heritage of the original property, repurposing farm buildings with greater openness and ageless interventions. “We wanted to maintain and stay true to the existing architecture where we could. The barn was dilapidated, but there was scope to elevate it to something more high-end and luxe,” says project lead Antonio Tammaro. “The barn itself was the key source of inspiration and we looked at different materials, specs, and influences that would allow us to celebrate the space in a luxurious and timeless way.”
Nordic minimalism won the day, infusing interiors with a texture and lightness. A timber reception desk upholstered in sage linen greets guests beneath soft green ceilings and upon shimmering red floor tiles that radiate warmth. Classic brass wall lanterns contrast modern tapware, demonstrating the project’s defining balancing act between old and new. “Balance was the key motif,” Tammaro says. “Anything we brought to the table here was about harmony, allowing the rustic brick and timber to be elevated.”
Amenities include a double-height fitness center with a raw, industrial aesthetic offset by mirrors, neutral timber floors, and other organic materials. Deep scarlet ceilings and neutral walls and floors wrap the pool in an envelope of serenity further accented by modern arched windows, while spa facilities are adorned with a palette of pale pink, white, black, and gray.
