The DVUV powder application process

How DVUV’s UV-cured powdercoating protects the environment:
- The medium density fiberboard (MDF) used is 100 percent pre-consumer recycled content and is made from wood byproducts—making use of leftover wood that would otherwise be scrap.
- All of DVUV’s MDF is certified by the SFI or Sustainable Forestry Initiative and meets both CARB (California Air Resources Board) phase I and II requirements for the limit of urea-formaldehyde emitted from composite wood products.
- DVUV is proud to be certified with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC C113128). This ensures the wood is sourced ethically, helping protect the environment and wildlife for future generations.
- DVUV’s powdercoating and UV-curing finishing process eliminates the need for solvents. It does not produce harmful emissions, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and does not increase the volume of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) present in indoor environments and landfills.
- The company’s UV-cured powdercoating facility requires substantially less floor space and runs at a faster line speed than conventional painting or heat-driven (thermoset) powdercoating plants, translating into higher productivity and reduced energy consumption.
