China World Summit Wing, Beijing-Shangri-La’s newest hotel in the city-has opened within the China World Trade Center Tower. Tihany Design was responsible for the dining and entertainment venues on the 79th and 80th floors: signature restaurant Grill 79 (pictured); Chairman’s Room and the Peak, which are exclusive private dining facilities; Atmosphere bar; and the Lounge. The firm’s design, which offers unparalleled views of the surrounding city, showcases sophistication and elegance while capturing traditional Chinese symbolism and the duality of yin and yang.
