Choice Hotels International added 42 franchised properties in December that span 18 states and six countries. Openings include the Orlando Vista Inn at Lake Buena Vista, and Ascend Collection hotel; Clarion Hotel & Conference Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Comfort Hotel Kushiro in Japan. Other brands represented include Comfort Suites, Quality Inn and Quality Hotel, Sleep Inn & Suites, Econo Lodge, and Rodeway Inn & Suites.
