Choy, a Chinese-American restaurant from owners Moni Advani and Nishaan Chavda, has opened its doors in Nashville’s Gulch neighborhood.
The 120-seat art deco-inspired space, designed by local firm Carlton Edwards, evokes mid-20th-century Shanghai.
The two-story Choy is anchored by a 30-foot-wide red and black marble bar and an expansive glass-enclosed wine cellar showcasing more than 1,000 bottles.
The dining room features emerald booth seating, black glass tables, and walls covered in plaster and vintage-inspired wallcoverings, accented by a large mural and a collection of traditional Chinese oil paintings.
Additionally, a whimsical 50-seat private dining room is located off the mezzanine, where detailed red bamboo and crane wallpaper is paired with black wooden chairs and tables.
