Dubai-based design studio H2R Design has completed ASMA, a new Middle Eastern dining concept that reinterprets traditional regional kitchens with a contemporary twist. Located within the Dubai Mall, the new eatery evokes an inviting warmth across its 2,350 square feet.
The interior is clad with materials distinctive to Arabian homes, including copper detailing echoing conventional Emirati kitchens. Offset by greenery and artwork, its design is based on natural materials and a nature-based color palette.
The central bar is adorned with tiling in petrol blue, complementing the wooden profile strips, while the terracotta backlit paneling in the rear of the restaurant highlights the semi-private dining area. Wicker seating and other furniture made of wood create a calming atmosphere, combined with the salmon pink, muted yellow, and orange tones that adorn banquette seating.
