The Melange Studio—an architectural firm based in New Delhi—has unveiled its latest project in Faridabad, India: United Coffee House Rewind.
Upon entering the restaurant, located in the Mall of Faridabad, guests are greeted by a color-blocked green lobby layered with wicker lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
Inside the main dining area, various seating options are arranged around the bar, which serves as the centerpiece of United Coffee House Rewind.
Despite the volume of the space, the layout is designed to promote social intimacy and interaction, with compact booth sizes providing a sense of privacy.
Soft curves, patented graphics, and playful colors—including bright yellow banquettes and bold blue chairs—create an inviting, contemporary ambiance. This modern style is juxtaposed with traditional materials like brass details, wrought iron accents, and oversized wicker light fixtures that add a sense of warmth.
Terrazzo is a major design element throughout the restaurant. The front of the bar, for instance, is crafted in terrazzo and inlaid with brass accents, all cast in-situ. This detailing extends to the flooring, where a light gray terrazzo floor serves as the foundation, subtly delineated by slightly darker terrazzo outlining the booths and central seating area.
