Wyndham has announced plans for the 173-room TRYP New York City – Times Square South, the TRYP brand’s first hotel in North America. Designer Glen Coben of local firm Glen&Company has infused Mediterranean elements and New York City style into the design plans of the hotel’s guestrooms and social spaces.
The hotel, scheduled to open in mid-2011, will feature the signature guestrooms that have become a staple of the brand in its European and South American properties. Fitness rooms will feature a fitness machine and complimentary fitness attire, while family rooms will serve as ideal accommodations for families with small children, featuring a large bed for parents and bunk beds for children. Plans also call for fitness and business centers, as well as function space.
