Design agency Fyra has unveiled a cutting-edge, sustainable office in Helsinki, Finland for global consultancy firm EY.
Comprising two buildings from the 1950s and ’60s merged with two newly constructed floors, the workplace unifies classical elements and modern details.
The visual design diverges from traditional office aesthetics, instead embodying a comforting, warm ambiance synonymous with hospitality. Beyond the design, the office adopts a hospitality-driven workplace concept with amenities including a gym, lunch and breakfast services, barista-made coffees, and postal services.

The entire project was guided by sustainable principles guide, including the utilization of existing materials, upcycling, and low-carbon material choices. The team also carefully preserved architectural elements—such as the structural frame, stone floors, glass walls—to, not only, reduce carbon emissions generated from construction, but also honor the building’s heritage.
In addition, the LEED Platinum certified-building strategically incorporates greenery into its space with a new garden atrium adorned with biophilic green walls.
