In partnership with Songy HighRoads, Hyatt Hotels Corporation has launched the ninth Hyatt-branded hotel in the Houston area with Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria, managed by Aimbridge Hospitality.
Set within the 7.6-acre, mixed-use Galleria Plaza development, the 14-story hotel is located near the state’s largest shopping center, the Galleria, and offers 325 guestrooms, including 20 suites. The development also includes high-end retail options, luxury apartments, and several recently completed office towers. Hyatt Place Houston Galleria is also set to open adjacent to the Hyatt Regency next year.
Hotel art nods to the oil industry and follows a geological theme, such as with a metal sculpture near the front desk that is inspired by geodes. Guestroom design also pays homage to the oil and gas industries with a modern aesthetic.
Connecting the first and second floors is a grand staircase crafted from exposed steel with walnut stair threads and diagonal wood posts that pierce through the second floor.
Dining options include the first-floor Urban Star restaurant and bar, along with the grab-and-go Market. Additional amenities include a heated pool with an adjoining sundeck, a fitness center, a lounge, and more than 11,000 square feet of event and conference space that includes 10 private meeting rooms and six dedicated breakout rooms.
