A new F&B concept from Choice Hospitality Group and executive chef Dakota Weiss—a contestant from season nine of Bravo’s Top Chef—Estrella has opened on West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip.
Santa Monica, California-based Studio Collective crafted the interiors in reference to 1960s and ’70s Hollywood Hills bungalow culture, with a warm and colorful palette.
Comprising a restaurant, bar, patio, and lounge space, Estrella features lustrous pendant lights and chandeliers, found vintage décor, lush plant life, and a variety of textures found in brightly colored tiles, wide plank wood floors, and rough wood overhead. Eclectic dining arrangements are both intimate and communal, while outdoor fireplaces and chandeliers provide light throughout. A central bar and kitchen serve as the restaurant’s focal point.
Industrial-style French doors join the dining room with an al fresco terrace that pops with herringbone brick accented by rose, turquoise, and pearl tones.
