InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has launched a new property in Indianapolis.
Developed and owned by Keystone Group, InterContinental Indianapolis is housed in the historic Illinois Building, originally built in 1926, which has undergone a $120 million restoration.
It features 170 guestrooms and suites, along with two new dining concepts (Serliana Café and Hyde Park Steakhouse), Astrea Rooftop Bar, a 24-hour fitness center, 5,000 square feet of event space, and a penthouse suite located on a private floor with views of Monument Circle.

The 11-story hotel boasts a granite and limestone exterior adorned with bas relief panels and topped with a gold-glazed terracotta cornice. Facets of the building’s original ornate lobby have been preserved, blending in with a new contemporary canopy.
Guests enter InterContinental Indianapolis through opulent brass doors framed with intricate brass grillwork and alabaster panels. Inside, a hand-blown glass chandelier cascades three stories from the second-floor lobby, creating a striking focal point. The hotel also features a robust art program that exclusively features pieces that were commissioned by artists with strong Indiana ties.
