Bar Sprezzatura has opened an East Coast outpost atop the Kimpton Hotel Theta in New York.
Designed by Brooklyn-based firm CRÈME, the rooftop bar and restaurant offers a year-round escape to the Mediterranean.
Upon entry, guests are greeted by a corridor adorned with murals of the Amalfi Coast by local artist Oscar Lett. Vibrant blues and oranges dominate the venue’s interiors, which are accented by intricate mosaic-tiled tables, breezeblock screens, and plush seating to create an inviting yet sophisticated atmosphere.
The 15th floor is designed as an intimate retreat, featuring rich hues, hanging plants, and striking Italian frescoes and murals. The 16th floor, meanwhile, offers three unique lounge areas: the cabana-inspired Canopy Lounge, the relaxed yet elegant Greenhouse Lounge, and the bright Outdoor Terrace, which captures the refreshing essence of alfresco Mediterranean living.
