Kiko Singh of locally-based BraytonHughes Design Studios has completed the update of the presidential suite at the InterContinental San Francisco.
Spreading across 2,000 square feet, the entirely reimagined two-story penthouse is home to an eight-seat dining room, living room flooded with day light through the floor-to-ceiling windows, powder room, two luxury bathrooms, master suite endowed with gold leaf wallcoverings, as well as two outdoor terraces. Crafted in a sleek-grandeur style, the interiors feature a refined color palette teamed with tailored finishes punctuating the textiles, light fixtures, and artwork across the space, while a wall of stained wood serves as a stark backdrop for the room’s art collection. Among the other thoughtful design touches inside is the black and white stone floor inspired by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Nero Marquina marble countertops and a sumptuous fireplace.
“Today’s jetsetters and business travelers seek respite in a setting that is not only luxurious, but also telling a good story,” says Singh. “We designed the presidential suite as an extension of the art-focused narrative guests experience in other parts of the hotel, from the public spaces showcasing local art of San Francisco throughout the decades, to the contemporary artwork at the guestrooms referencing the lifestyle of the city.”
