Host Hotels & Resorts is investing more than $7 million to renovate the marina at Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina in the final quarter of this year.
Able to house approximately 450 yachts, the 446-slip marina will see the replacement or repair of wood and concrete structures, power panels, rub rails, and cleats one dock at a time. Resident vessels will be temporarily relocated to other areas onsite or other local marinas. The hotel will also add a restroom and coin-operated laundry facility for the use of marina visitors.
Marina guests have access to hotel amenities, such as a fitness center, resort-style swimming pools, whirlpools, and a 10 percent discount at the property’s five onsite restaurants—Marina Kitchen Restaurant & Bar, Tequila Bar & Grille, Roy’s, Exchange, and Starbucks.
Additional hotel amenities include the Hideaway spa and 240,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. A new ballroom expansion is in the pipeline for next summer.
Comprising two 25-floor towers, the 1,360-room Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina is located near Seaport Village, the San Diego Convention Center, and the San Diego Zoo.
