Pendry Hotels has collaborated with Brookfield Properties to become the hotel operating partner for Manhattan West, the eight-acre, six-building development in the Hudson Yards mixed-use district. The brand’s maiden New York hotel, Pendry Manhattan West, will feature architecture from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and interiors by Gachot Studios. Groundbreaking is forecasted to take place in the third quarter of 2018, with completion slated for 2021.
The Pendry Manhattan West will house 164 guestrooms, including suites. Among the onsite amenities will be a signature restaurant, lounge, meeting and event spaces, and a lively, open-air terrace bar.
Manhattan West will total seven million square feet upon completion, accommodating 844 residential units and more than six million square feet of custom, design-driven offices. Anchored by sprawling outposts by Peloton and Whole Foods, the project will also host 250,000 square feet of retail.
