The historic Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo, formerly the Nile Hilton, reopened recently under the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company brand.
Located along the Nile River, the luxury hotel originally opened in the late 1950s and has been revamped by Acton, Massachusetts-based designer Frank Nicholson, with many design aspects retained. Two Pharaonic walls greet lobby entrants, while pearl-engraved mirrors, paintings, and the property’s staircases reflect its heyday.
The 12-story hotel includes 331 renovated guestrooms and suites, including the Royal and Presidential suites.
Modernized amenities include an Olympic-sized pool, meeting rooms, ballrooms, business facilities, several F&B outlets, and a spa.
