Virgin Hotels has announced plans to roll out three new properties over the course of 2021. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will kick off the openings this spring, while Virgin Hotels New Orleans and Virgin Hotels New York will launch this summer and fall, respectively.
Occupying the former Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the much-anticipated Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will debut as part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. New York’s Rockwell Group, locally based Klai Juba Wald Architecture + Interiors, and Los Angeles firm Studio Collective collaborating on the design of the reimagined lifestyle casino resort, which will be home to a 60,000-square-foot gaming floor, 1,504 accommodations, and more than five acres of luxury poolside and outdoor spaces.
Virgin Hotels New Orleans will arrive in the Warehouse District of the Big Easy with a colorful Southern ethos punctuated by tropical architectural details. Featuring a collaborative design executed by Logan Killen Interiors, Mathes Brierre Architects, and CallisonRTKL, the new-build hotel will house more than 230 chambers and signature amenities like the Commons Club and a rooftop pool and lounge.
Finally, Virgin will stake its claim in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood with the launch of the Virgin Hotels New York. Designed by MARKZEFF, the forthcoming flagship will include 463 chambers, numerous F&B concepts, and a rooftop pool and lounge.
In other news, Raul Leal stepped down as Virgin Hotels CEO last month.
