Outdoor lodging brand AutoCamp has announced the addition of Joshua Tree, opening this fall.
AutoCamp Joshua Tree is a 25-acre property that will feature 47 Airstreams, four Accessible Suites, and four X Suites. A first-of-its-kind launch for AutoCamp, the Joshua Tree property will also include an outdoor bar with a full beverage program, hybrid hot tub and plunge pool, and mobile kitchen for chef residency pop-ups, in addition to AutoCamp’s signature General Store. A focal point for all AutoCamp destinations, the Clubhouse at Joshua Tree is a modern take on traditional Quonset Huts. Overseen by HKS, the architecture nods to the eclectic nature of the town it resides, supplemented with clean midcentury modern details. The intentional use of raw and natural materials will weather in place and improve with age as they blend into the natural landscape. Translucent solar panels, misters, and scenic views can be enjoyed from the comfort of the large shaded patio, adjacent to the plunge pool.
Inspired by the golden hues and rough textures of the desert landscape, the Clubhouse interiors provide a seamless connection with the outdoors. Utilizing local artists and fabricators, and considering the area’s rich cultural history, Narrative Design Studio centered the interior composition around handcrafted tile, original artwork from local artists, and custom details including organic sculptural elements to break up the cleaner lines of the surrounding mid-century architecture.
