Hyatt Place Raleigh West/RBC Center in North Carolina has debuted with LEED certification. The hotel uses solar energy to generate hot water and power trash compactors, while LED lighting contributes to low power usage. Additional sustainable elements include energy-efficient HVAC systems, motion-activated thermostats in all 132 guestrooms, electric car-charging stations, and hotel transportation van powered by butane gas.
