Boutique hotel brand Mama Shelter has announced its arrival in the Czech Republic with the opening of the Mama Shelter Prague later this year. The 10-floor, 238-room property is located just outside the historic Stromovka Park and will occupy the former Parkhotel, featuring updated designs from Zdeněk Edel, one of the buildings original architects.
In addition to a 753-square-foot penthouse, three different guestroom configurations range in size from 193, 269, and 472 square feet. Public amenities will include five meeting rooms, a 300-seat restaurant, basketball court, fitness center, and outdoor terrace.
The Trigano Family, co-founders of Club Med, created Mama Shelter eight years ago with an inaugural location in Paris. Since then, the family has expanded Mama Shelter all over the world in Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Los Angeles, and Rio de Janeiro. The Prague location marks the first Mama Shelter in the city and the seventh overall for the brand.
