Meliá Hotels International has debuted in Jamaica with the opening of Meliá Braco Village in Rio Bueno, part of its Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand.

The property is the company’s second hotel in the English-speaking Caribbean following Meliá Nassau Beach in the Bahamas.

The 226-room resort, which includes 61 suites, offers garden-view and oceanfront accommodations.

Hotel F&B outlets include six restaurants: Market Place, an open-kitchen concept; the 876 PRIME steakhouse; O’Grille, a beachside Jamaican restaurant; Rasta Pasta, an à la carte Italian restaurant; Nikkei, which features Teppanyaki-style tables; and Golden Sand, a beachside concept. The property is also home to three bars: Jigger, a piano bar; the Shaker, which centers on a DJ experience; and Chill Out bar.

Additional amenities include two pools, a fitness center, basketball court, football pitch, the Kids & Co. concept, a business center, two function rooms, outdoor event space with two gazebos—one overlooking the ocean and one in the garden area—and the Level lounge, which features floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views and YHI spa treatment suites, a first for the brand.
