The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced plans for its eighth property in Switzerland, the Radisson Blu Resort, Andermatt, slated to open in 2013. Located in the Swiss Alps, the 240-key hotel will be part of a master development that features five other hotels, apartments, villas, a championship golf course, and sports and recreation areas.
Zurich architects Burkhalter Sumi will design the hotel, comprising two wooden-façade buildings with a restaurant and bar, 18,000 square feet of meeting space, concert hall, spa with indoor pool, retail shops, game room, and children’s club.
