The Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel has earned a 4 Green Key Rating from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program for its sustainability practices, which include:
- CFL bulbs and LED fixtures in all rooms
- Occupancy sensors in all offices
- Digital thermostats in all guestrooms
- Installation of trash monitoring systems on the hotel’s compactors
- Recycling of all fluorescent light bulbs, batteries, wiring, telephones, and electronic equipment
- Recycling of fryer and cooking oil
- Recycling of all printer cartridges
- All printers and copiers are programmed for double-sided printing
- On-site water bottling program eliminating the use of plastic bottles
- Elimination of Styrofoam containers from the associate cafeteria
- Provide linen-less buffet tables in meeting rooms, eliminating the need for additional laundry
- Use of only eco-friendly cleaning solutions and chemicals
