Sir Prague has opened within a restored Neo-Renaissance building from 1884.

Crafted by interior designer Linda Boronkay, the hotel’s interiors reinterpret Prague’s complex visual history through a contemporary lens. Gothic flourishes, Cubist angles, and Art Nouveau curves quietly coexist alongside sculptural lighting, custom textiles, and vintage Czech furnishings. The result is a property that feels at both storied and refreshingly new.

A story told through craft

Across 76 rooms and suites, handcrafted elements anchor the design narrative, from embroidered headboards and midcentury furnishings to custom pieces created by local artisans. Textures and patterns unfold with painterly rhythm, forming a dialogue between Prague’s past and present.

“Prague’s beauty lies in its contrasts—history and modernity, grandeur and intimacy,” says Boronkay. “With Sir Prague, I wanted to create a space that captures this duality, evoking both nostalgia and discovery. From sculptural lighting to hand-embroidered textiles, every element reflects the city’s rich craftsmanship and artistic heritage, inviting guests to connect with its incredible spirit.”

Throughout the hotel, contemporary Czech artworks—curated by Karina Kottová—provide visual counterpoints to the building’s historic bones.

Each ground-floor space becomes its own gallery: the library is steeped in mythological and historical themes; the bar explores sound and movement; the reception reinterprets Prague’s architectural legacy; and the restaurant celebrates nature and nourishment in artistic form.

Spaces for connection

Communal spaces further root the hotel in creative energy. A multifunctional library doubles as a salon for contemplation and conversation, while a hidden courtyard offers a moment of calm just steps from the city’s vibrancy.

Anchoring the culinary experience is Seven North, a restaurant concept from chef Eyal Shani that brings bold Mediterranean flavors and playful presentation to the heart of Prague.
