Designed by New York-based Rockwell Group and Andrés Cajiga of Mexico City’s Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, the Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen joins the numerous hotels lining popular Mamitas Beach on the Riviera Maya. With allusions to the surrounding area, “the architecture reflects a modern, up-to-date Mexico while maintaining deep roots in Mexican culture, enriched over time by other cultures,” says Cajiga.
