Former image consultant Natalya Pavchinskaya chose the Indonesian island of Bintan for her first hotel, the Sanchaya—a sprawling beachfront property on Lagoi Bay—which Bangkok-based P49 Deesign & Associates conceived as a colonial-style estate with travel-inspired art and artifacts that subtly nod to Southeast Asian heritage.
